At Last Quondam Review (sort of!)
Alun Avatar

Doesn’t time flyby? It was only just the other week I was watching Quondam and meant to write up about it the next day, but things got on top of me and I had no spare time and Wonderfalls got binned so I was a bit annoyed about that, but hey here I am right now, doing my part.

.....Anyway saw Quondam, the other week as well as all the documentary stuff that went with it, saw an old school buddy too, (happy he's doing well). Anyway you don't need me to tell you how good it was as I'm sure Andy will tell you how, its the best thing he's done and the most intensive, (Well he'll over criticize it first, but he knows its great ). .

If you've ever seen any of the lastatak films you know they are of a high standard and that the story telling and direction are top notch, and that Darren, is an outstanding lead actor. However this film is much darker than previous outings like "Autumn Heart" and is a much more cerebral film, the camera work is very impressive especially the split screen, work with Jack and the doors, (I really like the 3 stages of the cycle of addiction idea) and the bit with Jack and the demon is a surprising moment (well it was till I just Spoilt it).

The documentaries were also well worth watching if only for the look on Darren’s face when he eats the mouldy(not really mouldy, its all eddible) sandwitch .

Anyway check it out yourself at www.lastatak.com were you can see the preview and the web documentaries, for Quondam and all the other projects the folks at lastatak have been working on over the years.

Anyway... after a weekend of disappointments, only raised by the fact that Andy likes miracles (he still hasn't seen them all, and not that I need my opions validated) I fianally got to see some Penn & Teller, so I'm feeling good. also for the first time ever! (except my autie rose) someone bought me some JellyBeans ™ so thanks Lisa.

Hello, I'm back! and fully charged!  After spending a few days last week, being ill , I've done loads this weekend to make up for the loss of productive time, I've almost finished Dan's PC, (actually very impressed with his e-bay purchaces) and then moving on to H's PC which needs rebuilding cause its full of crap, and needs a new powerpack (Yes you were more or less correct about that one.) Just in time to then do my Brothers PC, (we will get battlefield 1942 running on it!!), My sisters PC should be really quick to do with the help of Norton Ghost, But hey Busy, Busy, Busy!

Looking forward this week to the 'Quondam' Screening

Soundtrack to the weekend ? Al Green!
