Cake or Die!
Alun Avatar

Yes I am very busy a bit too busy to post regular blogs like I originally intended, however It’s not just me that can write these things on scooby I mean come on there’s only so much witty banter than even I can muster. However I will continue to try.. First of the bat is my Joy of travelling down to see Kevin Smith.

That was a great night and just goes to show that even BT cutting throught the Fiber optic Cable won’t stop me from booking my tickets (they were very limited!) and we got good seats, much better than our Eddie Izzard (who is in talks to get a US sit com) seats. Bit suprised that Kris didn’t want to go, but his head in in a strange place at the moment.

As I got back from the pub last night I saw Kevin Wining an Empire award, good for him he IS that man.Clap

I need to sort out another evening out, and soon, cause that was a good night, however I may start looking for New York trip details, as it needs to be sorted out dammit.

On a personal note the plans for a Media Center Pc are well underway, need to sort out a SFF case but the test system works well enough, would be nice to actually record stuff that I’d want to watch, instead of the usual crap thats on TV.

On the subject of TV I’m still impressed by the FACT that I said Desparate Housewives would be a hit in the UK when I found out it was getting a UK showing, and have since been proven right, and I also predict that Lost will do the same, however I distace myself from the allagations that Angel, Miracles, Wonderfalls, Karen Sisco & Father of the Pride, all failed because I liked them, you should know that that was Andy’s fault not mine. Besides Lost and Battlestar Galactica are still on and are comming back next season. Thumbs Up

Smallville still rocks and that was one of the first shows I said was going to do well, and even though I said the same for Birds of Prey, the pilot was still good, and its not my fault the writers where rubbish for the rest of the season, and Ashley Scott is still a damn fine woman (even though she missed out on joey.)

And to set the record straight..while I watched Enterprise I didn’t think it was all that good, and couldn’t care less that is was axed. Censored

Oh and going back to Angel for a moment a new comic series is being launched which is supposed to pick up after the season 5 finale.

bit miffed this week TV wise as Commited ends its first season, I like commited mostly cause I can relate a bit to Nate, a inteligent man who is attracted to a dizzy woman for no reason he can fathom, no real highlights this week TV wise part from that so I suppose I’ll have to find some thing else to do. Fluid Moasic springs to mind but I might do some 3D work instead, as I can’t find any monopoly houses to photo.

Anyway...gotta go, as somewhere a warm cup of coffe with my name on is being born!

My Evening with Kevin Smith
Alun Avatar

Well it finally happened after months of planning and preparation we finally went down to London for a Q & A with Kevin smith, and as a special treat This Kevin Smith Q&A was recorded for the upcoming ’An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder’ DVD! And myself and Andy (Andy in particular) have a very good chance of appearing on the DVD, mainly because Andy asked a question, but also cause a few people next to us asked questions too, like the lovely girl next to us.

But since Andy asked a question about clerks animated (which no-one else did) I think he’s in with a chance, I just hope the loud women from forbidden planet don’t get on the DVD, cause they were a bit annoying.

However the whole show was really, good and it was a bit of a treat when the world famous and apparently polish, Jason Mewes came on stage, and the whole Chav conversation started, but the show started really well with Kevin’s rant about the 3am girls from the sun and his own “insider” information about them, as well as his take on the Green Hornet.

I was quite surprised about how personal some of his story’s where especially all the stuff about his wife, especially since his mom was in the audience.

And apparently Steve (“the tracer”) didn’t get anywhere with his ex (as he relates his story on the view askew website).

Anyway it was a really great night, and it was nice to meet up with Andy again even though we were running a bit late but that was sooo not my fault. And Lyn and Julia really enjoyed it too and it was nice to see them again and it was really good of them to give me a place to stay so thank you Julia especially for driving and Lyn for being Lyn, and that American diner was right up my street, you girls know me so well it’s a little bit scary. Any way let me know how father of the pride works out for you.

Lastly I must add that molly was not what I was expecting, she was a really nice dog, so what Kris told me was either untrue or Molly really doesn’t like Kris.

The only thing that wasn’t much fun was the train ride back, but mainly because it was really boring, gotta get a car sorted out. Still got back in time to watch a bit of “The 4400” and to top it all we won the quiz!

Oh yeah as a write this must also say, happy birthday Cody.

BTW if you are interested Kevin is on about making his UK Q & A an annual event; only next time no cameras.
